Layout Plan
CWP Energy is developing the Caple Rig Wind Farm to contribute to the region’s renewable energy goals. The proposed layout includes multiple wind turbines of varying heights, strategically positioned to minimise environmental impacts and landscape and visual effects.
Turbine Specifications:
- 180m to Tip– Blue
- 200m to Tip– Red
- 225m to Tip– Green
- 250m to Tip– Purple
The site boundary, marked in red, outlines the designated area for development, ensuring compliance with planning and environmental guidelines.
Project Details:
Other infrastructure will be designed following the results of ecological and hydrological surveys combined with civil engineering design and input.

PLANNING DOCUMENTATION
CWP Energy have submitted a Scoping Report to the Energy Consents Unit (ECU), in order to seek a Scoping Opinion from the Scottish Ministers on the proposed Caple Rig Wind Farm. The Scoping Report and accompanying figures can be viewed on the ECU website (www.energyconsents.scot) under the reference number of ECU00005235.
Responses from consultees will also be available once they have been published on the ECU website. A Scoping Opinion from the Scottish Ministers will be available in due course.
